Clyde Charles LeBlanc, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 7, 1948, passed away peacefully December 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a quiet but profound impact on those he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy James LeBlanc, Sr., and Clarisse Richard LeBlanc, his wife Tamara Croft LeBlanc, and his sister-in-law Barbara Janssen LeBlanc. He is survived by his wife Mary Lee Eggart, his brother Percy James “Jim” LeBlanc, Jr., and his cousin/sister Beth Adams.
He graduated from Catholic High School, Louisiana State University, and Southern University. His career as a middle school math teacher was spent at New Roads, Prescott Middle School and Kenilworth Middle School. He taught his students far more than decimals and fractions, modeling for them kindness, fair play, and the importance of just showing up.
After retiring, Clyde enjoyed travel, golfing, and spending time with his close-knit extended family. His involvement at Sacred Heart Church played a role in deepening his faith and provided him with great comfort. When he and Mary moved to St. James Place, he cultivated cherished friendships among both residents and staff, and found a loving community that embraced him. But his greatest pleasure was simply spending time at home with Mary and the cats.
Visitation on, Thursday December 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (2250 Main Street, Baton Rouge) followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. A gathering for family and friends will be held in the Parish Hall immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Conference of St. Vincent de Paul, at the same address.
The family expresses its deepest gratitude for the loving and attentive care provided by the staff of St. James Place and Hospice of Baton Rouge, as well as to the doctors and other medical professionals who cared for him during his recent illnesses.
