
Connie Disalvo, age 102, passed peacefully away on May 15, 2015 at Fidelis Care V, Baton Rouge LA. Connie was born on March 14, 1913, in Pittsburgh, PA. Preceded in death by her loving husband Guido Disalvo, parents Rosina and Carl Vitti, brother Peter (Flora), and sisters Rose (Vincent) Castelli, Catherine (Carl) Sparagna and Mary (Carmen) Bevilacqua. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families. Her first job was as a seamstress at Rosenbaum's Department Store in Pittsburgh PA. Connie and her husband Guido were enticed by the Goudchaux's Department Store to move to Baton Rouge. She retired as manager of the Bridal Department at Goudchaux's. Baton Rouge became home and her friends became family. Two years ago Connie celebrated her 100th birthday and a joyous occasion it was. Always the gracious hostess she was excited to have friends stop and family visit for the milestone event. Niece Jo Ann Sonetti (Georgia), nephews Carl and Louis and wife Edie Vitti (Pennsylvania) traveled to Baton Rouge to celebrate. Over 130 birthday cards from around the world were received. A trip to the casino for dinner topped off the day. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited pay their respects at a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, May 27th, 10:30 AM at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 2121 North Sherwood Forest Drive, Baton Rouge. The family invites you to a reception following mass.
