

Curtis P. Cedotal, Sr., 84, a native of Donaldsonville, LA and a resident of Belle River, LA passed away on Saturday October 23, 2010. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother. Curtis was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII serving as a landing craft operator in Unit SLU38. He was a co-owner of O & C Tune-up and an employee of Union Tank Car. Curtis was an avid fisherman who knew the Atchafalaya Basin like the back of his hand. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Woodman of the World, and former parker of Cruisin Cajun Motor Home Club. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday October 25, 2010 from 3PM until 8PM and continuing on Tuesday October 26, 2010 from 8AM until time of services at 10AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Curtis is survived by his wife of 44 years Shirley Cassano Cedotal; children: Curtis P. Cedotal, Jr. and wife Sally, Anne Cedotal Watson and husband Leroy “Butch”, and Gloria Cedotal; step children: Brent Deaville and wife Patsy, and Sheila Deaville Lowe and husband Ed; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and two sisters: Ona Lee “Toot” Vicknair and Gladys Lejeune Cannella. Curtis is preceded in death by his first wife Cordelia “Coe” LeBlanc Cedotal; parents Sam and Eugenie Cedotal; and siblings: Cora Lee Anderson, Geraldine Westmoreland, and Sam J. Cedotal, Jr. The family would like to thank Lane Memorial Hospital and LTAC for their excellent care of Curtis along with Virginia Dauzat, Rachel Booty and Kim Kennedy
