Curtis Millard Reeves, resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on September 5, 2014. Curtis was born December 6, 1924 in Clarks, LA. He was a member of Florida Blvd Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Army and participated in D-Day on Omaha Beach. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation as a civil engineer. He enjoyed watching sports and his hobbies included fishing and bowling. Mr. Reeves is survived by his three children; Shirley Reeves, Larry Reeves, Scott Reeves and wife Mary; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, brothers Richard Reeves and wife Rece, Wilbur Reeves and wife Dianne, and sister Ruth Oglethorpe and husband Todd. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Reeves and Willie Doffitt Reeves, wife Myrtle Dupree Reeves, and brother Milton Reeves. Visitation for Mr. Reeves will be 12:00-2:00p p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
