"Daisy Lee Wintz, a native of White Castle, LA and a resident of Sunshine, LA passed away on December 10, 2018 at the age of 97. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She is survived by sons, John A. Wintz III (BeBe), and Tommy Wintz (Margaret); grandchildren, Tim Wintz (Nicole), Tammie Schexnayder (Ryan), Tom Wintz (Amy), Holly Murphy (Cindy), Jessie Lognion (Chris); great-grandchildren, Austin and Allie Wintz, Justin Maylon, Ryan Jr., Emma and Reid Schexnayder, Landra Fiebig, Hayden Wintz, and Harper and Hagen Murphy; special niece and nephew, Shirley and Webb Harelson; and special friend, Diana Leblanc. She was preceded in death by husband, John A. Wintz, Jr., and eight brothers and sisters. A visitation will be at St. Gabriel Catholic Church on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00, celebrated by Fr. Charles Landry. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery Mausoleum.
