from Metairie, residing recently in St. Francisville. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana
October 4, 1927 to Thair Juanita Mangan Kenaley and William Thomas Kenaley. She attended
McMain High School graduating from Sophie B Wright High School in New Orleans. Prior to
marriage, she worked as a book keeper at both Whitney and Hibernia Banks in New Orleans.
She was locked in a vault during the biggest bank robbery in the City of New Orleans. She
married E. Calvin Brupbacher December 18, 1948. Dana was a devoted wife, mother and
grandmother. She was involved in leadership activities with PTA and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed
playing bridge, her bowling league, traveling, dancing with her husband of 61 years, sewing for
her girls and later for her granddaughters. Dana was preceded in death by her husband, her
older brother, William John "Jack" Kenaley, two sons-in-laws, Thomas Copelan Winn and
Richard Lee Peabody, two nephews, Steven Andrew Kenaley and Carl Phillip Brupbacher Jr. She
is survived by her brother Donald (Evelyn) Kenaley, three daughters, Dianne Peabody, Colleen
(the Honorable Noland S.) Winn, Marlene Winn; her grandchildren Ursula (Jeff) Myers, Taylor
(Mackenzie) Shaw, Tanner (Sara) Shaw, Richard Lee (Dana) Peabody II, Maghee (Brandon)
Harper, Courtney (Ryan) Schnippert, Chandler and Chancelor Winn; her great grandchildren,
Sophie Shaw, Caleb ( Mindy )Shaw, Christian Shaw, Lilah Peabody, Elizabeth Myers, Chloe Shaw,
Matthew Myers, Saddie and Stone Schnippert, Calvin and Amelia Harper, Brinkley Autin, Emma
and Ethan David, Brooklyn Gautier; a great great granddaughter, Raelee Grace Shaw and nieces
and nephews. Her five grandsons will serve as pallbearers along with three of her great
grandsons, Caleb, Christian, and Matthew. Honorary pall bearers are nephews Jack, Michael,
Donnie, and Jimmy Kenaley, as well as Hart, Roy, and Mark Brupbacher. Special thanks to the
entire staff of Clarity Hospice, particularly Dr. Kevin Dean, Crystal, Mike, nurses Kathleen, Nina,
Michele and the many aides who gave excellent care. Visitation will be Monday June 9, 2025 at
Rabenhorst 825 Government St. from 9:00 am until 11:00. Following brief prayers by Reverend
Chris Andrews, the family will travel to Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans for grave side
service and burial at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity of your
choosing or to First United Methodist, Baton Rouge, or St. Francisville United Methodist Church.
