Daniel Navarre

Daniel Joseph Navarre, 58, a retired business agent of Iron Workers Local 623, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Vickie Bizette Navarre; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Leslie Navarre, and Justin and Marcy Navarre; two grandsons, Tucker Daniel Navarre and Tyler Joseph Navarre; two sisters and their spouses, Kristy and Buckey Stuart, and Sheri and Resse Brown; two brothers and their spouses, Steve and Jennie Navarre, and B.J. and Crystal Jordan; brother-in-law, Terry Bizette and wife Charmaine; sister-in-law, Connie B. Short and husband Paul; mother-in-law, Emily G. Bizette; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neddie and JoAnn Fleniken Navarre; and sister, Jan N. Ringswald. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Friday from 10:30 a.m. until religious services at noon. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bill Pizzolatto, Billy Braswell, Andy Ringswald, Paul Short, B.J. Jordan and Ernest Stephens. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Wall and Brian Short. He enjoyed being a Little League coach for his sons and loved LSU sports, music and dancing.
