
A machinist with ExxonMobil with 28 years of service, he died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at 11:13 p.m. at his home in Denham Springs. He was 55 and a native of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, having served on the USS Midway CVA 41. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Feb. 1, was from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. until dismissal at 2 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Kyzar Ducote, of Denham Springs; daughter, Therese Marie Ducote, of Denham Springs; two sons, Brandon Lyle Ducote and wife Nancy Tassin Ducote, of Denham Springs, and Douglas Randolph Ducote, of Fort Hood, Texas; stepson, John Easterly Jr., of Watson; four sisters, Terri and Pam Lemoine and Penny St. Romain, all of Plaucheville, and Amy Goff, of Denham Springs; sister-in-law, Charlene Ducote, of Denham Springs; five brothers, Mike Ducote, of St. Gabriel, Chris Ducote, of Denham Springs, Mark Ducote, of Erwinville, Jeff Ducote, of Gonzales, and Laurence Ducote, of Denham Springs; and two grandchildren, Ethan and Madeleine Ducote. Preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Edwin Ducote; brother, David Ducote; and son, Kenneth Ducote. He was a friend of Bill W.
