Daniel Eric Seidel, native of Westwood, NJ and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was welcomed to his eternal home on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the age of 51. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kahne Kendrick Seidel; daughter, Rachel Seidel and fiancé Jake Clouatre; sons, Jackson and Samuel Seidel; father, Frank Seidel; siblings, Cheryl Duncan and David Seidel; father-in-law Austin Kendrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Martin Seidel; and mother-in-law, Peggy Kendrick.
He proudly served in the United States Army during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He was a longtime member of Istrouma Baptist Church and was passionate about the special needs community, serving as the ambassador for the Southeast Louisiana chapter of Ainsley’s Angels. He also loved Disney family vacations and spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, caring for others, and unwavering love.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 4 pm until 6 pm. Visitation will continue Monday, January 31, 2022 from 9 am until time of funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Doug Bush, Jake Clouatre, Chad Lott, Mark Morrison, David Seidel, and Eric Setz. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson and Samuel Seidel.
