Danny Paul Arnold passed away on February 3, 2015 at the age of 65 at his home in Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his father Henry J Arnold. He is survived by his wife Eileen Arnold, mother Pearl Arnold, sister Cheryl McKinstry (Tom); two children, Matthew Arnold (Nicole) and Jessica Gill (Byron); and three grandchildren, Sidney, Lucas, and Madeline Gill. Danny will also be missed by Eileen's family in England who all loved him dearly. The family would like to thank and recognize the hard work and kindness of Dr. Bienvenu and all of his staff that treated Danny at the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War spending the majority of his deployment in Germany. After his service he worked as a welder in numerous states before returning home to pursue his true passion of being a blacksmith. He opened his own shop in Baton Rouge and called it Arnold and Anvil Blacksmith Shop. He proceeded to make furniture, fences, and other fine pieces of art. A lover of wrought iron, bass fishing, and the Grateful Dead, Danny was truly one of a kind. Memorial service will be held at Green Oaks Funeral Home on Friday February 20 from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center would be appreciated.
