A resident of Central and a retired Louisiana Department of Labor employee with over 30 years of service, Darlene Politz Carnegie died at her home on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015. She was 61 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, from 8 am until religious services at 10:30 am conducted by Rev. Michael J. Moroney. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Darlene is survived by her son, Eric T. Carnegie of Baton Rouge; sister, Theresa P. Macaluso of Independence; and granddaughter, Ryleigh Carnegie of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Carnegie; parents, Guy and Doris Armstrong Politz; and daughter, Linda P. Davis. Darlene was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Her family offers a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
