Darryl "Mo" Michelli

Darryl "Mo" Michelli passed from this life on May 4, 2022, one day after his 76th birthday in Gulfport, MS. MO loved life and never met a stranger. He lived in many interesting places like San Francisco, Birmingham, Tampa, Destin, New Orleans, Detroit and most recently Gulfport. MO graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1964 and attended LSU and William Carey College where he played baseball and then coached and played semi-pro for the Baton Rouge Merchants. MO loved his First United Methodist Church in Gulfport, anything LSU and New Orleans where he lived until Huricane Katrina forced him to relocate. He was President of Commercial Development Funding. He is survived by his sister Shirley Michelli Willet (Kent), brother Paul Michelli, nephews Kevin Willet, Christopher Michelli, Anthony Michelli, and niece Michele Willet Rylander and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in the death by his parents,Vincent and Pauline Williams Michelli.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service

led by Oren Connor, Pastor of First Baptist Church, to be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 9595 Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at a future date at the First United Methodist Church in Gulfport, MS.
