He was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva and Norris Dukes; brothers, Roy Dukes and Mike Dukes; sisters, Shirley and Linda.
He is survived by his children, Dwayne Dukes, Kim McNaughton, Eric Dukes, and Preston Dukes.
David worked at the Louisiana Department of Transportation for 20 years. He enjoyed hot rods, bikes, boats, and anything that a motor would allow. He was an avid fan of music.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a service to follow. Burial will follow the funeral at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
