

David W. Fontenot of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on July 13, 2021 at the age of 58. Born February 10, 1963 in Baton Rouge, David was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Lionel and Mildred St. Romain David; paternal grandparents, Eumeze and Vivian Soileau Fontenot; and loving father, Glynn J. Fontenot. Survived by his caring and devoted mother, Patsy David Fontenot; heroic brother to sister, Roxanne Fontenot Brown; brother-in-law, Robert Brown; sister, Elizabeth Fontenot. Proud uncle to niece, Brett Brown Kyle; nephew-in-law, Ryan Kyle; and nephew, Jarrod Brown; and honored great uncle to great nephew, Rory Kyle; and great niece, Blake Kyle.
David was a 1981 graduate of Glen Oaks High School and earned a Fine Arts degree at Louisiana State University. He was a long time active member of St. Pius Catholic Church, St. Pius Ushers, and Knights of Columbus Council 4085. David was also a 2,000 hour hospital volunteer at Our Lady of the Lake.
David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sports, especially LSU and spending time on the front porch.

Family and friends are invited to visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 15 with a rosary at 9:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Following mass, burial will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
