
David A Gulledge, 84, a native of Magnolia, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. A hardworking man of exceptional character, “D.A.” was a devoted family man and a good friend to all who knew him. He graduated valedictorian of Progress High School and served the Baton Rouge Fire Department for 30 years. He owned and operated Hurricane Fence and then retired after 57 years. He was a faithful member and trustee of Gospel Light Church in Baton Rouge. He is survived by his sons: Michael Gulledge and wife Peggy, and David Gulledge and wife Glenda; grandchildren: Allison Toups, Kasey Gary, and Tony and John Gulledge; 5 great grandchildren and sister Rosemary Upah and husband Greg. He is preceded in death by his wife Patsy S. Gulledge; parents Julius and Mae Gulledge; and siblings Evelyn Fleming and Jewel Gulledge. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 8:00am until services at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
