

David M. Lindrew, 72, died peacefully at home on December 1, 2015 after a courageous battle with dementia. He was born June 28, 1943 in Beloit, WI, and was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid saltwater fisherman and was active as a volunteer with many organizations including Boy Scouts of America, Muscular Dystrophy Association and his church. He was a caring foster and adoptive parent. He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Vicki Tesdall Lindrew; son Todd Michael Lindrew and wife Susan; adopted daughter Kristine Lea Lindrew; grandchildren Collin Michael Lindrew, Zachary Bennett Lindrew, and Sarah Elizabeth Lindrew; sister Joyce Lindrew Chekouras and husband David; brothers Gerald B. Lindrew and wife Ellen McGuire, and Roger A. Lindrew and wife Patricia. He was preceded in death by his parents Milford&Evelyn Lindrew, and son Gregory David Lindrew. Visitation will be held Monday, December 7, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church, 763 North Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA, from 12:30 pm until the memorial service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Baton Rouge, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or Charlie's Place. Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown is in charge of the arrangements.
