David Farris Tarkington “Rock” was born July 19, 1951 in Medford, MA, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away September 7, 2021 surrounded by family. He retired from Westlake-Turner Ind. He is preceded in death by step-grandson, Jason Julian; parents, Pauline Tarkington and Othal Farris Tarkington. He is survived by his wife, Gail Tarkington of 32 years; brother-in-law, Ricky Bizette; step-daughter, Janet Woodward; step-grandchildren, Jordan Julian (Kaitlyn), Starla Woodward, and Faith Woodward; step-great-grandchildren, Jacey, Ava, Titana, Elijah, and Brandon. He will be missed by his beloved pet “Pita”; friends “family” of Westlake-Turner Ind.; sisters, Beverly Hadley, Cindy Murray, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service at 12 p.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815. An interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
