Died April 15, 2015, 2 weeks shy of his 99th birthday. A native of New Jersey, he had been a resident of Baton Rouge since 1980. He is survived by a son, Harry Jr. and wife Marjorie, and a daughter Elizabeth Mikovich and husband Ambrose; 6 grandchildren and their spouses Karen F. Trappey (Fritz), John H. Fitzgerald (Kari), Paul Fitzgerald (April), Shari F. Ashe (Adam), Joan M. Campion (Michael), Carol Mikovich (Andres); 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Martin Fitzgerald. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years (Margaret) and his second wife (Bessie Lee). He was an active member of St. Louis King of France Church and a member of the Ushers Society. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation at 9:00 AM on Friday at St. Louis King of France Church, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM celebrated by Fr. Jack Nutter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Louis King of France Church or St. Joseph's Hospice.
