Debbie Pardue Johnston

"A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Debbie passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 03, 2017 at the age of 63. She was a preschool teacher at Zoar Baptist Church and proprietor of Central Perk coffee shop. Debbie is survived by her husband, Ricky Johnston; son, Erick Johnston and wife Candice; daughter, Kimberly Johnston; mother, Carolyn F. Pardue; brother, Donald A. Pardue and wife Sandra; and grandchildren, Kaden M. Johnston, Isabella G. Johnston, Preston C. Johnston and Sophia L. Johnston. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Pardue, Jr.; father-in-law, Hollis L. Johnston; and mother-in-law, Kathleen E. Johnston. Pallbearers will be Erick and Kaden Johnston, Bruce Salisbury, Kevin Knippers, Ray Ranburger and Jeff Wellman. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Johnston and Arthur Hey. Debbie was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and had attended Southeastern University. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Wednesday, Sept. 06, 2017, from 5 pm until 8 pm. Visitation will resume at Zoar Baptist Church on Thursday, Sept. 07, from 9 am until religious services at 11 am conducted by Rev. Glen Miers. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday at Moak's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bogue Chitto, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
