It's with great sadness and regret I announce the passing of my lovely wife, Debby Nan, on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at 11:30 p.m. Debby lived a joyous and exciting life. She graduated with a bachelor's and master's degrees in music from LSU. She was a coloratura soprano. She was a former Miss Baton Rouge and Miss Louisiana in 1972. Debby was third runner-up in Miss America that year and also the talent winner. She then toured several years with Liberace. Debby was the first female colonel in the Air Force ROTC at LSU. She is survived by her husband, Dr. E. Paul Booth; daughters, Shannon and Natalie; mother-in-law, Shirley; son-in-law, Dr. Thomas Palmer; and granddaughter, Caley. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Melba Robert. A memorial service will be announced in the near future.
