For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Delores “Dee” Barbati was called home on August 4, 2026. She embraced life with joy and enthusiasm, never passing up an opportunity to celebrate, laugh, or make memories. She treasured every moment spent with her family and friends, whose love and companionship brought her life's greatest happiness. She loved her family fiercely and was a constant source of strength and support.
Dee was a proud graduate of Istrouma High School class of 1957 and went on to attend LSU. She met and married the love of her life Henry. They were married for over 50 years before his passing. She enjoyed many years as a devoted member of the historic Krewe of Romany and Les Capitaines, proudly serving as Ball Captain in 2001 alongside Henry, who reigned as her King.
She is survived by her loving sons, Keith Barbati (Linda) and Willard Willis (Susan); son-in-law, Douglas Wise; grandchildren, DJ Wise, Nicole Sibley (Blake), Ashleigh Mullins, Thomas Willis, and Raegan Hutson (Bryan); her brother, Ronald Greenlee (Patsy); and great-grandchildren, Zoey and Aubrie Wise, Sophie and Aubrie Sibley, Peyton and Lincoln Mullins, and Quinn and Clay Willis.
