
Densyl Lee Haymon died Friday, April 30, 2010, at the age of 92. He lived in Lakeland, Fla., for the past 13 years and resided with his daughter's family, Fahy and Carol Robinson, for the past 17 years. There was a viewing with family and friends on Sunday, May 2, in Bartow, Fla. The family will receive friends at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Saturday, May 8, from 1 p.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m. Mr. Haymon was born in Louisiana and retired after 38 years with Ethyl Corp. in the petrochemical industry. His great joy was hunting and fishing in the swamps, bayous and forests of Louisiana. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Haymon is survived by his wife, Margery Chapman Haymon, of Lakeland; son, D.L. Haymon Jr., of Baton Rouge; and daughter, Carol Haymon Robinson, of Lakeland. He has seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He has a surviving brother, Derryl Haymon, of Baton Rouge; and three sisters, Elouise McMichael, of Bossier City, and Ellavay Carpenter and Lee Duszynski, both of Baton Rouge. Mr. Haymon was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Odis Haymon; and sister, Evelyn Wolsefer.
