

Diane Hemphill Amoroso was born on September 12, 1955, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 70. She was a native and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She will be most remembered for her gentle nature and countless acts of kindness and compassion. She devoted her time and energy to her passion for animal rescue, fostering, and adoption, touching hundreds of animal and human lives in the process. Diane is survived by her sisters, Donna Kunstler (JAK) and Deborah Walcutt; sister-in-law, Ramona Amoroso LeBeouf (Collins), with whom she shared a deep and special bond of love and friendship; brothers-in-law, Michael Amoroso (Marcia) and Nick Amoroso (Kelly); cousins, Gay Bond, Dr. Michael Hemphill, Lynn House McNulty, William Jenne’, and Clay Jenne’; nieces, Amy Kirby, Kristen Coburn, Meagan Cotten, Jenni Hutchinson, and Katy Kunstler; nephews, Adam Amoroso, Jason LeBeouf, Nicholas Amoroso, Fritz Kunstler, and Jason Kunstler; six great-nieces; and eight great-nephews. Diane is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Amoroso; parents, Don and Dorothy “Dot” and Hemphill; brother, Bill Dew; and parents-in-law, Nick and Janet Amoroso. Private family services will be held.
