"Dominick passed away on September 22, 2018 at the age of 92. Dominick was raised on a rural family strawberry farm in Tickfaw, Louisiana until he was called to duty in World War II. He proudly served his country under General MacArthur in the Philippine Conflict. The US Army placed Dominick in a tank battalion with an honorable discharge at the completion of the war. He then successfully completed Baton Rouge Trade School as a licensed plumber/pipefitter out of Local 198 and ended his career as a plumbing inspector with the City of Baton Rouge. He loved Jesus Christ and was very faithful to his Roman Catholic religion. One of his greatest attributes was his dedicated love for his whole Ferrara family cornered around his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins, and godchild Dennis Losavio. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Randall and Terri of Savannah, Tennessee; Jeffrey of Ashland, Virginia; and Chris and Angela of Baton Rouge; sister, Catherine Distefano, brother and sister-in-law Tony and Leona Ferrara, sister-in-law Mary Grace Ferrara; grandchildren: Brandi Ferrara Deignan and husband Dan, Shelley Ferrara Falcone and husband Mike, Ryan Ferrara and fiance Jolie Story, Dustin Ferrara and wife Holly, Jeffrey Ferrara and wife Alyssa, Emily Ferrara Crockett and husband Tyler, Kate Ferrara Dorland and husband Travis, Christopher Ferrara and wife Miyoko, Connor Ferrara; great grandchildren: Connor Deignan, Jack and Luke Falcone, Reagan and Savannah Ferrara, Lilly Ferrara, Tucker Crockett, Stella Dorland and Zayden Ferrara. Preceded in death by his wife, Narcille Normand Ferrara; parents: Rose and Russell Ferrara; brothers: Joseph and John Ferrara, sister, Camilla Allison. Pallbearers will be: Ryan, Dustin, Jeffrey, Christopher and Connor Ferrara and Dennis Losavio. Visitation at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, celebrated by Rev. Michael Alello. Burial to follow at Greenoaks Memorial.
