Donald Jerry Coward

"Donald Jerry Coward passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 80, a native of DeQuincy, LA. and a resident of Baton Rouge. A veteran of the US Air Force and a graduate of McNeese State University Class of 1963 with a Bachelors' of Science Degree in Secondary Education. He was an avid freshwater fisherman with bass as his main goal. He retired from Arcadian Corporation (now PCS Nitrogen) in 1997. He is survived by his children; James Coward and wife Jennifer of Friendswood, TX, Stephanie Coward of Baton Rouge and William Coward and wife Jacqueline of Central, LA., grandchildren; Amy Coward, Caleb Coward, Alanna Coward, Madeleine Coward and Andrew Coward. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Lou LeBouef Coward, parents; Albert "Doc" and Jewell Coward, sisters; Patricia Harris, Glenda Bozeman and Rita Musgrove. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Homes East 11000 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 starting at 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume Friday, February 3, 2017 at Rabenhorst starting at 9:00am until services in the funeral home chapel at 11:00am with internment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Leukemia Lymphoma Society , Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or St. Joseph Hospice. A special thanks to Wanda Jones for her dedicated care of our father.
