A retired Ethyl Corp. pipe fitter with 34 years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 5 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 86, a native of Donaldsonville and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, April 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Vincent Dufresne. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Carl Robichaux and Gerene and Jerry DePino; two sons and daughters-in-law, D.J. and Cindy Ramirez and Gerard and Sandra Ramirez; three sisters, Lillian "Tula" Ramirez, Marion Barksdale and Betty Scurria; brother, Warren Ramirez; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Gerene Beauregard Ramirez.
