Dora Alma Swarts"Dee"Young

A homemaker, she died at 2:58 p.m.Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 82, a native ofAlbion, Mich., and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m.until" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">a.m.until service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gerard F. Young. Interment inRoselawnMemorial Park. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Young; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lee M. and Guy Fandal, Joan and Greg Mattson, and Denise and Terry McDonner; son, Mark R. Young; sister, Laura Davis; six grandchildren, Alicia, Marie, Lauren, Frances, Julie and Phillip; and great-granddaughter, Kylie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Lee Ola Swarts; and brother, Robert Swarts. Pallbearers will be Terry and Phillip McDonner, Greg Mattson, Guy Fandal and David Hansen. Honorary pallbearer is Chi Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
