Doris Monica Newbery Anders, resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at her home. She was born on March 5, 1927 in Romford Essex, England. Doris met and married her husband in England during WWII and moved to the United States in the 1940’s. She was a member of the Daughters of the Union Jack. Doris is survived by her three sons, Anthony, John Davis, Jr. and wife, Raye, and Kerry and wife, Rhonda, all of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John D. Anders Sr.; sisters, Muriel and Kathleen; brothers, Alfred and Elfie; daughter-in-law, Patsy Fox Anders; and grandson, Jeremy Anders. Services will be private. Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
