
A retired Fidelity National Bank senior vice president with 35 years of dedicated service, she died at her home in Baton Rouge at 11:45 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010. She was 88 and a native of New Iberia. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home chapel, 825 Government St., Monday, May 17, from 11 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m., conducted by Deacon Richard Grant. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Doris is survived by two sons, Lenes Earl "Lenny" Comeaux, of Alexandria, and Robert Charles "Bob" Comeaux, of Houston; a sister, Rita Werner, of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren, Chivas Boyd Comeaux, of Eugene, Ore., and Monseratt "Monse" Comeaux, of Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edric J. Comeaux; son, Edric J. "Rick" Comeaux, Jr.; granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Comeaux; mother, Augusta "Gussy" Roy; father, Earl Pierre Roy; and sister, Marie Louise Heno. Pallbearers will be Tommy Comeaux, Greg Comeaux, Jimmy Heno, Donald Werner, Lenny Comeaux and Bobby Comeaux. Honorary pallbearers are Chivas Comeaux, Bud Oliver, Bay Fitzgerald and Doug Comeaux. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
