She was a homemaker, a native of Monroe and resident of Greenwell Springs. Dorothy died at 5:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 90. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Feb. 26, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation at Blackwater United Methodist Church on Monday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. until the religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Marie Williams. Interment at the church cemetery. She is survived by her son, Dr. William L. Calloway and wife Alice, of Hattiesburg, Miss.; grandchildren, Christa Calloway Bird and husband Mark, of Huntsville, Ala., Lara Calloway Crafton and husband Jason, of Denham Springs, and Allen Paul Calloway, of Hattiesburg; and four great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Calloway; and parents, Louie and Carrie Takewell Case. Pallbearers will be Jeff Prisk, Mark Bird, Tyler Bird, Earl Rogers, Jason Crafton and William Calloway. She was a member of Blackwater United Methodist Church, a 1942 graduate of LSU, and she loved flowers and animals.
