Dorothy Andrews Felton

A homemaker and native of Burlington, Iowa, Dorothy died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at home in Baton Rouge at age 84. She graduated from the University of Iowa. Visitation will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church "Pope Hall" Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. The Mass will be held at noon Friday in the church sanctuary, conducted by the Rev. Joe Hermerding. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Stayton Felton; children, Judy Felton Jones, of Houston, Patty Felton Guttery and husband, Randy, of Highland Village, Texas, Thomas Stayton Felton and wife Amy, of St. Louis; grandchildren, Christopher Jones, of Charlottesville, Va., Laura Jones Ryan and husband, Michael and Elizabeth Jones, all of Houston, Austin Guttery and Katherine Guttery, of Highland Village, Texas, Bennett Felton and Brett Felton, of St. Louis; brother-in-law, Clinton Henderson, of San Diego; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Dickinson Andrews; sister, Mary Henderson; and brother, Raymond Andrews. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Volunteers of America Auxiliary, Baton Rouge Art League, PEO, Passe Bon Temp and The Woman's Club.
