
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at St. Clare Manor. She was 89, a native of St. Amant and resident of Baton Rouge for more than 60 years. Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment in Holy Rosary Church Cemetery Mausoleum, with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. She is survived by two sons, Roger Rome III and his wife Margaret, and Maurice Rome and his wife Elena; four daughters, Juanda Babin and husband Mike, Beth Bonnecaze and husband Henry, Veda Smith and husband Chuck, and Denise Soileau and husband Richard; two stepsons, Adrian Kaiser Jr. and his wife, Minna, John Kaiser and his wife, Carol; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Cecelia Lambert, Doyle "Pomp" Bourgeois, Barbara Schexnayder, Gabriel Bourgeois, Ralph Bourgeois, Bridget Sheets, Aelred "Buzzy" Bourgeois and Kenneth Bourgeois. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger Rome Jr., and Adrian Kaiser; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth; brothers, Donald, David and Damian Bourgeois.
