Dorothy "Dotty" F. Major, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the age of 90. She was a pink lady at the Baton Rouge General for 14 years in addition to numerous years of other community service. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Moss and husband, Mike, and Sandy Bezet and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Tanya Prestridge and husband, Blake, Brandon Moss and wife, Danielle, Gary Andrew Bezet, and Alan Bezet and wife, Melissa; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kyleigh, Blakely, Braden, and Braxton. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Cecil Major; and her parents and two step-sisters. A graveside service will be held on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank or a charity of your choice.
