
A native of Plaquemine and a resident of Baton Rouge, Dorothy N. Duncan died after a brief illness at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Friday, July 25, 2014. She was 93. She was a retired schoolteacher at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic School, with 25 years of dedicated service. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School andhttp://www.legacy.com/memorial-sites/lsu/?personid=171867435&affiliateID=1382" id="InlineMicrositeLink_LSU" target="_blank" title="Visit LSU Memorial Site to see similar profiles">Louisiana State University. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her children: Pat D. and Pete Boudreaux, Thomas M. III and Diane Duncan, all of Baton Rouge, and John F. and Cheryl Duncan of Lafayette; first cousin, John J. Broussard, Baton Rouge; and 10 grandchildren: Mac, John, Craig, Jason, Denise, Debbie, Ellen, Tammy, Kim, and Ashley. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas M. Duncan Jr.; her parents, Frank and Myrtle Norman. Her 4 grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, along with Neil Duncan, Russ-Michael Guidry, and Michael Williston. Johnny Broussard will be an Honorary Pallbearer. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish, LSU Track and Field Officials, and Exxon Annuitants Club.
