Douglas Washburn Casserleigh, age 79, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Doug was a dedicated husband of 33 years to Deirdre McCarthy Casserleigh. Loving father of Douglas W. Casserleigh Jr (Amy), Mathilde C. Fusco (Christopher), and Bess Casserleigh (Dixon McMakin); grandfather to Charlie and James Fusco; brother to Randy L. Casserleigh (Suzi), and Hank G. Casserleigh (Boo). He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Shirley Dunlap Casserleigh. Doug was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 17, 1946. He graduated from Fortier High School and Tulane University where he received his JD in Law. His profession as a corporate attorney for J. Ray McDermott took him and his family to live all over the world including London, Singapore and Dubai. A private celebration of life with family will take place at a later date.
