"Dr. Bobby Gene "B.G." Buchanan Sr., A Pastor for over 46 ½ years passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the age of 74. He was a native of Powell, Oklahoma and a longtime resident of Denham Springs. He has a Bachelor of Divinity, 2 Doctorates of Theology. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sarita Ann Duncan Buchanan, daughters; Deidre Ann Buchanan Schillings and Dorene Annette Buchanan, a son Bobby Gene Buchanan, Jr., a sister; Vickie Buchanan, brothers; Glendon Buchanan and Charles "C.A." Roberts, also 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. Monday, June 11, 2018 beginning at 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Central Baptist Church 17017 Florida Blvd. at 10:00am. Burial will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Providence Cemetery in Fannin County, Texas at 11:00am. "B.G." enjoyed fishing, gardening and working in the yard. In lieu of flowers you may give to the Bus Ministry or Bibles for Missionaries through the CBC.
