A resident of Baton Rouge, he died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Baton Rouge Health Care Center. He was 81 and a native of Port Barre. He loved his career in the automotive mechanic industry, having worked many years with Miller Terrell. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Thursday, May 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Friday, May 6, from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Henderson; three children and their spouses, Dudley Jr. and D'Alice Henderson, Ronald and Jeannette Henderson and Judy Henderson Roche and Robert Sr.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and stepfather. Pallbearers will be Robert Roche Jr., Wayne Ardoin, Kory Henderson, Mike Herpich, Mike Fakouri and Bobby Ardoin. Honorary pallbearer is Felix Lavergne.
