

Earl Clarence AndersonEarl Clarence Anderson was born on October 5, 1915 to the late Bennie Anderson, Sr. and Constance Faith Brown Anderson. A resident of Baton Rouge, he departed this earthly life peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. He left his home in Monroe, Louisiana in 1926 to attend elementary and high school at Southern University School for the Blind. Following high school graduation he enrolled at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education in 1939. The late Southern University president Dr. F. G. Clark contacted the state's director of blind services at that time and recommended him to operate a vending facility on campus. At the time of his retirement in 2014, Earl Clarence Anderson was the oldest manager in age and years of service with the Randolph"“Sheppard Vendors of Louisiana Program. He is a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Memories of Earl Clarence Anderson will be warmly cherished by Paul C. Adams, Jr. (Rose), godson "“ Baton Rouge, LA; George L. In addition to his parents, Earl Clarence Anderson was preceded in death by brothers Bennie Anderson, Jr. and Preston Anderson. Service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with Omega Service at 5:30pm followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lambda Alpha Chapter Scholarship Fund (725 North Foster Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70807) in memory of Brother Earl Clarence Anderson or a charitable organization of your choice.
