Eddie Jean (Arinder) Hernandez

Eddie Jean Arinder Hernandez passed away peacefully on Nov. 15th 2025 at the age of 90. She was born on Dec. 1, 1934 in Tallulah, LA to Edgar Arinder and Grace B. Kenney. Her family later moved to Baton Rouge. She was married to Gene Austin Hernandez, Sr until his death in 2001. She was also preceeded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed Arinder, Walter Arinder Sr; and grandson, Russ Evan Hernandez. She is survived by daughters, Emma JeanTallant and Grace Hernandez Smith (Brett); sons Ed Austin Hernandez (Judy) and Gene Austin Hernandez Jr; grandchildren, Marcus Hernandez, Kristen Stringfellow, Chuck Smith and Laura Hernandez; and numerous great grandchildren. She loved her lifelong friend Mary Hill. Eddie Jean's faith as well as her family was her peace. She was a parishioner at Jefferson Methodist Church in Baton Rouge.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park in the Camellia Parlor, located at 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70815, on November 19, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.

A committal service will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, also located at 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70815, on November 19, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
