Edith Nelson Silvey, native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on December 25, 2024 at the age of 85. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 64 years, Claude E. Silvey, Jr.; daughter, Diane Silvey Gioele (Ben); son, Scott E. Silvey (Denise); grandchildren, Danielle Brehm (Philip), Dustin Gioele (Leah), Morgan Burns (Zach), and Trent Silvey (Rylee); 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia Gioele, Griffin Brehm, and Beau Burns. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ruth Nelson; sister, Lucille Sanches; and her brothers, Jack Shall and Jimmy Sandoz.
A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, December 30, 2024 from 9 am until time of funeral service at 11 am. Burial will take place in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
