
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. Psalm 3419 Edward Landry, Jr., age 83, passed away March 7, 2015 at Carpenter House. A native of Baton Rouge, he was the last surviving member of the first graduating class of Redemptorist High School. He was a Eucharistic Minister and usher at St. Louis King of France and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the owner of an industrial sales company, Aladdin Equipment. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, whom he adored, Jeanine Hutson Landry; daughters, Debra Landry O'Neill and Donna Landry (Charles) Edwards and grandson, Chad Minton; sister, Shirley Jarreau; brothers, Donald (Ann) Landry and Arnold (Molly) Landry; sister-in-law, Dolores Hutson (Raymond) Louvier and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozelia and Edward Landry, Jr. and son, Russell V. Landry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am officiated by Rev. Jack Nutter. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park with a reception at Greenoaks Reception Center.
