A retired state employee, she died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was 86. Visiting at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Saturday, June 9, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter, Patricia H. Smith; son, Stephen M. Harelson and wife Ella; grandchildren, Stephanie Dugas and husband John, and Anthony Paul Liotto and wife Jamie; great-grandchildren, Ted, Audrey, Brennan and Evan Dugas and Maranda and Berkley Liotto. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Harelson; and parents, Marshal and Lela James. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Society at St. Louis.
