Elaine Gordon Hoffmann

A native and resident of Sunshine, she passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at her home. She was 71. She is survived by her husband, L.G. Hoffmann Jr.; three sons, Louis "Buddy" Hoffmann III and his wife, Diane, of Seattle, Bruce Hoffmann and his wife, Susan, of New Roads, and Jeff Hoffmann and his wife, Elizabeth, of St. Gabriel; a daughter, Mary Sutter of Metairie; former son-in-law, Clifford B. Sutter of Metairie; nine grandchildren, Joe, Heather, Kristin, Christina, Sudie, Ashley, Jeff, Ford and Erich; a brother, Edward M. Gordon III; a sister, Joan G. Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Monroe Gordon Jr. and Inez Ursula Walker. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, the Ladies Altar Society, the Cowbelles and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Visitation at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, St. Gabriel, was on Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumed at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.
