Eleanor “Anne” Terrebonne passed peacefully on June 21, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. Born in Baton Rouge on November 30, 1940, and the second of nine children, Anne grew into a strong, nurturing, and fiercely loyal woman whose generosity and joy for life touched everyone she met.
A devoted mother, she never missed a chance to support her children—whether as room mother, sideline cheerleader, or their proudest fan. Her enthusiasm extended to her beloved LSU baseball and women’s basketball, which she followed with unwavering passion.
Anne embraced adventure with an open heart. A simple “let’s go” was all it took. She flew in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon, rode horses in Kentucky, went scuba diving in the Caribbean, canoed the Buffalo River, white water rafted the Arkansas River and explored Europe and Alaska with wonder. She traveled coast to coast, dipping her toes in both oceans and savoring every moment.
She loved fishing, the outdoors, family gatherings, and diving into genealogy to honor the stories that shaped her family.
Above all, Anne loved without hesitation. She was strong, adventurous, and endlessly giving. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created the laughter she inspired, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
Anne leaves behind her children, Patsy Dew (Page), Tammy Theriot (Danny), David Terrebonne (Laura), Denise Sherlock (Mark); her grandchildren who affectionally called her MeMe, Brittany Mumphrey (Kenny), Lindsey Terrebonne, Stephen Terrebonne (Emily), Eliana Terrebonne, Sammy Terrebonne, Christian Rousseau (Autumn), Michael Boykin, Elizabeth Logan, Lillian Terrebonne, Misty Mulford (Charles), Ryan Dew and Wendy Williams (Stephen). Great grandchildren: Raven Simon (Ethan), Gage Stepps, Gavin Terrrebonne, Eli Terrebonne, and Iris Rousseau. One great-great grandchild, Ronin Simon.
Anne is also survived by her siblings, Janet Alello (Darryl), Judy Dupuy, Frank Duvic (Lisa), Don Duvic (Becky), and Terri Walker (Keith) along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents James and Beatrice Duvic, Sr., and siblings, Linda Gale LeBlanc, James (Jimmy) Duvic, Dennis (Peanut) Duvic, and grandchildren, Alicia Marie Terrebonne and Tyler Paul Theriot.
Wearing her lucky fishing shirt, Anne is dressed to go fishing, so please come as you are — she would have wanted it that way. Since this is a simple graveside service, please dress comfortably.
Acknowledgments: Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate team at St. Elizabeth ICU/ER in Gonzales, La. for their unwavering care, kindness, and support during Anne’s final hours.
