Elizabeth "Betty" Sawyer, 89 years of age, born May 16, 1924, was called to be with Jesus on Feb. 13, 2014. She was a kind, thoughtful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church and Altar Society. She liked mailing greeting cards and saying prayers to help other people. She touched the lives of many people and was a devoted Catholic. She liked to cook, sing, watch "soap operas" and enjoyed being with family and friends during social events, get-togethers and many Bar-B-Q's. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Sewell and Mary Bahm; husband, Frank, Sr.; and sons, Gary and Frank, Jr. "Frankie". She is survived by sister, Joan Reed; brother, Glenn Bahm; daughters, Linda Cox and Diane Sawyer; son, David; six grandchildren, Missy, Tanya, Becky, Denise, Joe and Cody; twelve great-grandchildren, Robbie, Shaina, Dylan, Ty, Blythe, Zoie, Phoebe, Grayson, Faith, Karleigh, Hunter and Dorian. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 from 10 am until religious services in the chapel at 2 pm conducted by Bro. Clement Furno, C.Cs.R. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pall bearers will be Cody and Joe Atol, Rickey and Dylan Labatut, Lynn Young and Robbie Bonaventure.
