

Brown, Elizabeth D. "Ibby," 75, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007, at Our Lady of theLakeRegionalMedicalCenter. Ibby was a wonderful, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and neighbor. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday, April 22, was from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m., Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Monday, April 23, from 9 a.m.until religious service at 10 a.m.in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Chris Andrews of theFirstUnitedMethodistChurch. Interment will follow atRoselawnMemorial Park. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William W. Brown of Baton Rouge; daughter, Karen Brown Walker and her husband Robert E. Walker ofLas Vegas, Nev.; daughter, Laura E. Flowers ofMetairie; sister, Marilyn D. Rye of Baton Rouge; and two grandchildren, Duncan J. Walker and Makay E. Walker. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. DuncanSr.; mother, Tommie J. Duncan; sister, Ruth D. Keiper; and brother, John W. Duncan Jr. Pallbearers will be William Fort, Bay Johnson, Joseph Nicolosi, Sonny Suggs, John Walters, and William Helm. "Ibby" was a retired social worker. She graduated fromUniversityHigh Schooland earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees from LSU. There she joined Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She was an active member of the Pelican Civitan service organization for many years. Ibby was an intelligent, articulate person with a great sense of humor. She touched everyone she met with her kind, caring spirit. Ibby will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
