Ms. Penny was born June 7, 1946, in Baton Rouge and passed away April 18, 2016, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet at age 69, surrounded by her immediate family and priest. A graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and a retired Architectural Draftsman with the L.S.U. AgCenter, she was the owner of Vintage Linens, Etc. Ms. Penny enjoyed life with her friends and family, gardening, traveling, reading, her many social clubs and service organizations and especially painting. She was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Cathedral. She is survived by her daughter Julia Emel Kebanli; brother, James (Nicky) Nichols; sister, Laurie Ivey; former husband and father of her child, Arthur Kebanli; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Effie Dranguet Nichols; sister, Mary Coy Nichols; and a nephew, Peter Carmichael Myers. Visitation will be Monday, April 25, 2016, at St. Joseph Cathedral from 4:00 pm until Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 pm celebrated by Father Paul Counce.
