.Elizabeth Lee Palmer, age 88, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. A native of New York, Mrs. Palmer had been a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, for 53 years prior to moving to Georgia. She was a loving mother and housewife and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard Eugene Palmer, and her parents Helen Carter Lee and Paul Morley Lee. Surviving are her daughter Melissa Palmer of Smyrna, GA, son Jim (Laura) Palmer of McKinney, TX, grandchildren Brian (Lauren) Palmer, Allison (Jared) Clarke, Kevin (Lyndsie) Palmer, Colin Palmer, and great grandchildren James and Caleb Palmer. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Wednesday, January 11, at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, at 12 pm, with a visitation from 11 am-12 pm, at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery.
