
A native of Woodville, Miss., and a former longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goodrich McGehee on Feb. 5, 1914, she was 94. Visiting at Woodville United Methodist Church in Woodville on Friday, Sept. 19, from 2 p.m. until funeral service at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jim Bowden. Interment in Bowling Green Family Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Betsy Watt Osten and her husband, Judd Osten, of Memphis, Tenn., and Rachel Watt Williams and her husband, Henry Malone Williams, of Denison, Texas; three grandchildren, Charles McGehee Osten and his wife, Ann Osten, and Susan Osten Mickler and her husband, Rob, all of Montgomery, Ala., and Rachel Williams Ellis and her husband, Christopher Ellis, of Washington, D.C.; and six great-grandchildren, Charles McGehee Osten Jr., Katie Osten, Alex Manning Osten, Judd Robert Osten, Drew Mickler and Mark Anthony Osten. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Barber Watt Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goodrich McGehee; and sister, Mary Magruder McGehee. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles McGehee Osten, Rob Mickler, Christopher Ellis, Hugh Redhead, Robert Redhead and Tim Georges. Mrs. Watt was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, a graduate of the University of Mississippi, a Diamond Circle member of the Kappa Delta sorority, a member of the Colonial Dames and a member of the East&West Club.
