A homemaker and a resident of Denham Springs, she died at 9:30 p.m.on Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at Golden Age Nursing Home. She was 81, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a native of Vicksburg, Miss. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Nov. 20, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting continues Tuesday, Nov. 21, after 8 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by Bishop Farley Kinchen. Interment inPortHudsonNationalCemetery. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elmaria and Larry Helmke; five sisters, Millie Williams, Bobbie Reid, Robbie Billiot, Carrie Ansardi and Theresa Lynn Norris; six brothers, Jim, Ed, Billy Jo, Lindsey and Johnny Cronin and Jackie Holland; three grandchildren, Lawrence, Loren and Leia; five great-grandchildren, Kacie, Ashlee, Madalyn, Landry and David; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Cpl. Joseph Clark Reid, U.S.M.C.; and three sisters. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
